The wool mowing season (locally known as Talusi)

The Dremchan Youth association for Tourism and Environmental Development pays particular attention to the customs and traditions of the  Dremchan region, in order to value the local heritage of the region and to preserve it from extinction. One of these customs and traditions that are perpetuated every year.
The wool mowing season or what is known locally as the Talusi season. Where the mowing of livestock at the end of the spring each year to maintain the health and safety of livestock and spare them from the summer heat as well as to benefit from the wool.
These customs bear a cultural heritage in the rituals associated with this event. As the wool began to rise, the voices of the men present rose with songs and poems that showed the joy and the happiness that engulfed them in celebration of the spring season in which pastures flourish. On the other side, women prepare meals, Usually consists of barbecue, clarified butter and honey, in addition to the main meal.
Customs and traditions remain under threat of extinction and oblivion, unless there are serious efforts to revive them. As an ambitious youth and under the umbrella of our society with lofty goals, we will strive to preserve our traditions and traditions which are the heritage of our ancestors and which we are proud of. We will work to value them and make them a unique heritage treasure.
